[RESOLVED] Bot not doing CAPTCHA (Edited, more info + logs)

i will also add captcha engine loading on "Start" click and it will try to resolve one captcha(which will be included with bot) - will see what happens

This will actually help me with testing if the problem occurs way sooner, this way i cant est if it works after restarting the bot after a crash (since captcha screen will always be shown then)

And yeah, i have administrator privileges for everything. I work in IT myself, so i have decent knowledge of everything computer wise.

now you can check with new version 1.045 if bot will resolve captcha on UTWB.exe run - i added that check as well as others

I wish, but this new bot doesnt even start for me.

No error msg, i double click to start, it loads, and nothing happens.

tried in compatibility mode (XP, SP3 and SP2) also, no change.

does it produce any .txt file ?

so CAPTCHA engine cann't be initialized, i think that is the reason of bot crash

i think that it is you system failure, try to install VirtualBox, run on it Win XP SP3, install .net 2.0, 3.5, 4.0, then install IE 8, and bot should work - if it will work, it will be a confirmation that something wrong is with your system

i have Win XP SP3 virtual machine - bot works well,

i will make Win 7 virtual machine and will try to run the bot

edit:

after i installed win 7 sp1 with IE10 on virtual machine, i tried to run UTWB, i got error that i don't have .net 4.0,
then i installed full .net 4.0 through web installer "dotNetFx40_Full_setup"
then i launched UTWB.exe and it works, in the logs file i got: "CAPTCHA engine initialized successfully." and bot works well
that's it

so you have something wrong with your OS

Nope, no txt files, it makes no log files what so ever (map logs isnt even made yet...). Its kinda weird actually... i have removed .net 4.5 and installed only 1.0 and 1.1 and 4.0 on my win 7 installation. Still nothing is happening, I am wondering if either one of my 2.0 of 3.5 installations that embedded within win 7 is corrupt or something. What is also weird, is that the .net verifying program u told me to use is successfully verifying my versions:

1,1 i dont really care about, but 2.0 is not installed cuz i have 2.0 SP2 same for 3.0 and 3.5 (SP1)

So what i dont understand is... whats wrong with my .NET installations?

i don't know, .net environment is strange, as well as windows

that's why i did the test with virtual machine, clean, fresh installation of Win 7 SP1

i really recommend you to do virtual machine, and if it will works - it should for 100% - then make a clean installation of your windows on your real machine

Already have a virtual machine running now for 2 days, everything is working fine there.
Not gonna reinstall my pc, too much stuff bla bla bla, u know what is what. xD

I will just keep it running on this virtual machine, thank for all your help.

you can try to run 1.046 on real machine and exception should be handled, and .txt files should be created - maybe it will help me with something - please post it in here, thanks

i hate to reinstall windows as well - like you said - too much stuff to reinstall(too much time lose )

the positive site is that at least on virtual machine it works

Ok, so 1.046 is also not running, and is not creating any log files. I am really starting to wonder what is wrong with my real system...

Are u sure this is .NET related, and can not be caused by something else?

ye i am sure, if it will be bot problem - it will be create at least log with error - i added global error handling for bot, and if it don't create log, it means that something is with system and .net
